Aquadoc Hot Tub Chemicals Starter Kit: Directions for Use

Filling and Draining: Ensure your spa or hot tub is filled to the appropriate water level (at least halfway up the top skimmer/filter opening). Test the pH and Alkalinity using Test Strips at least weekly. The pH should be between 7.2 and 7.8, while the total alkalinity should be between 80 and 140 ppm. The water/calcium hardness should be between 200 and 400 ppm. If the levels are not within these ranges, make the necessary adjustments using pH Increaser, pH Decreaser, and Calcium Increaser accordingly. Use Metal Prevent to prevent staining and corrosion, protecting your spa components. Add Bromine Booster to the hot tub water and Bromine Tablets to the Spa Floater to ensure even distribution of Bromine in your spa water. If your spa is not Bromine compatible, consider our Chlorine Spa Starter Kit.

Sanitizing: Maintain the recommended Bromine level at all times. Aquadoc Bromine Tablets recommends maintaining 2-3 ppm of Bromine while the hot tub/spa is in use. Test the Bromine level regularly, especially before and after each use. Add Bromine Booster to the water to establish a 30 ppm Bromide reserve. Add Bromine Tablets to the Spa Floater to evenly distribute Bromine in your spa water, eliminating and preventing dirt buildup and cloudy water.

Weekly Maintenance: Test the water using Test Strips and adjust the total alkalinity, pH levels, and calcium hardness using pH Increaser, pH Decreaser, and Calcium Increaser accordingly. Add Bromine Booster and Bromine Tablets when necessary. Use Spa Defoamer to eliminate foam and Chlorine Free Shock after every use to quickly oxidize contaminants.

Important Reminder: Circulate your Spa or Hot tub water for at least a few minutes after adding any chemicals and before adding another product. Carefully follow the instructions on the container of each chemical in the kit for maximum results and safety.
